Shelter

Staring up at the sky now,
This is all that I seem to do.
It calls me from my dwelling,
Hoping to shine off the beauty it beholds.

I feel locked in this cage,
Ready to obey any master that pays for my body.
Moist in water,
And dirty even when I'm clean.

I must be taken into the pleasure,
I must obey every command.
If not,
It can result into my pain,
What I go through to get past all the wrong I've done.

I can't and will never understand,
Why these cruel people have played upon me like this,
Begging,
Ruling,
Owning,
And decapitating our heads for this owner.

I don't want to be one of you,
I can't compare to what you see,
I am not another lifeless soul for you to guide around.

I can and will always feel pain,
I can't seem to find what I've been looking for,
So I ask of you this,
Shelter me,
So I can hide.
That way,
I don't have to be what you want me to be.
